KATHMANDU: Police arrested four persons in possession of 180 kg marijuana from Namtaar of Makawanpur district, on Tuesday.

The suspects are identified as is Simha Bahadur Gole (70), Sitaram Bamjan (73), Buddhi Bahadur Thing (40) and Kumar Thing (25).

Police said they seized 60 kg of marijuana hidden in Gole's house, 80 kg from Bamjan's shed, 15 kg from Budhhi Bahadur's house and 25 kg from Kumar's house.

Far-flung villages in Makawanpur are notorious for marijuana cultivation.
