Four held for alleged involvement in Kailali robbery
DHANGADHI: The Kailali District Police Office (DPO) arrested four persons in the allegation of robbing a man of cash and valuables, on Thursday.
Earlier, on November 2, Harish Jaisi of Jaya Prithivi Municipality of Bhajhang district was robbed of Rs 1.07 million cash, a gold ring, two mobile sets and an iPad at Traffic Chok of Dhangadhi.
According to SP Rajendra Bista, police have detained the suspects with Rs 534,970 cash.
Police added that six people were involved in the robbery and they are searching for two others.
The arrestees are Madhav Jaisi from Beldanda in Kanchapur district, Lokesh aka Aman from Jaya Prithivi Municipality, Janak Thapa from Chainpur in Bajhang district and Ramesh Saud from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-1.
Two other suspects - Gajendra Shahi aka Katte of Jaika and Suraj Bam of Hasanpur in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City - are on the run.
A robbery case has been filed against the four detainees at the District Court of Kailali.
