Four THT lensmen on NFPJ panel

Kathmandu, August 2:

Four photojournalists working for The Himalayan Times were elected to the executive committee of National Forum of Photojournalists (NFPJ) today. The election was held during the fifth annual general meeting of National Forum of Photojournalists.

The annual general meeting concluded today with the election of a 11-member executive committee. A total of 102 photojournalists from across the country had taken part in the meeting.

Min Ratna Bajracharya of Himal Khabarpatrika and Nepali Times was elected president of the working committee, while Udipt Singh Chhetri of The Himalayan Times was elected vice president.

Freelancer photojournalists Dipendra Bajracharya, Kabindra Man Shakya and Pradip Shrestha were elected general secretary, secretary and treasurer of the committee.

Bal Krishna Thapa, Ram Saraf and Rajendra Manandhar of The Himalayan Times were elected executive members.

Other members include Sunita Dongol of Kantipur Publications, Nabin K Shrestha and Ram Gurung.

The newly-elected executive committee of National Forum of Photojournalists will have a tenure of two years.
