FSU poll row lingers at PN Campus

Pokhara, March 27:

The bid to resume vote count of Free Students’ Union election at Prithvi Narayan Campus has failed to make any progress, thanks to the blame game of local political leaders.

The election committee of the campus has said that it would resume the vote count once the student unions reach a consensus. The ballot boxes have been kept at the Kaski District Police Office for security reasons.

District representative of Unified CPN-Maoist Ramji Baral insisted that the campus should go for re-election, as the election was not held in a fair manner.

However, acting secretary of Kaski chapter of CPN-UML Punya Prasad Poudel maintained that there was no other solution but to resume the vote count. He also accused the campus administration of delaying the vote count.
