Fuel import easing

BIRGUNJ: Nepal Oil Corporation on Friday said import of petroleum products had eased after blockade at the Nepal-India border entry points was lifted.

Abhishek Thakur, chief of NOC’s regional office in Birgunj, said around 2,000 KL of fuel was expected to enter the country through Raxual border entry point on Friday.

More than 1,500 KL fuel was imported on Thursday. However, IOC did not load petrol on Thursday.

A total of 450 KL petrol is imported to Nepal from Raxaul depot on a daily basis, as per Thakur.
