PHIDIM: Police in Panchthar arrested a fugitive on Monday.

Thirty-five-year-old Bikram Yokpangden of Bharapa, Panchthar, was arrested from Subhang.

Seven months ago, district court of Panchthar had convicted him and handed down a month-long prison term and slapped a fine of Rs 123,066, in absentia.

He had been on the run ever since the court had passed the verdict.

Yokpangden was sent to prison on Monday itself.
