BIRATNAGAR: Deputy Prime Minister and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar said on Wednesday that the High-Level Political Mechanism (HLPM) must be dismantled due to its members’ conspiracy to topple the government.

Speaking at a programme in Biratnagar, Gachhadar alleged that the mechanism has been a platform for the three major parties to plot conspiracies. He added that the HLPM was formed to end the political deadlock looming between the government and the political parties but the members of the HLPM are involved in political equation and changing the government.

The DPM said that the country would face tough times if the constitution could not be drafted on time and urged all the stakeholders to do their best to draft the new constitution in the stipulated time rising above the power struggle.
