GAUSHALA: Police said they have arrested a gambler who physically attacked security personnel in Mahottari district. One head constable was injured in the attack and a police vehicle damaged.

The suspect has been identified as Rabindra Ghorari of Bijalpura-9.

A group of gamblers had clashed with a team of police personnel at Pathlaiya of Bijalpura-9 on Thursday late night when the latter tried to take them in custody.

A police vehicle was damaged when the gamblers threw stones at it, police said.

The injured policeman, Head Constable, Barun Bhumihar, has been admitted to a local health facility for treatment.

Police said they are looking for other assualters also.
