Gang decamps with Rs 6 lakh looted from bank

RAUTAHAT: An unidentified gang decamped with cash from Rajashree Saving and Cooperatives Bank Limited in Gaur Municipality-8 on Tuesday afternoon.

“Five persons barged into the bank, took the employees under their control and looted Rs 603,137,” said Nabin Karna, the bank manager.

Local residents blamed lack of security at the bank for the crime. Ghalananda Bhatta, SP, DPO, said that security at the exit point of Gaur — the district headquarters — had been beefed up and a manhunt for the robbers were on.
