Dang, September 19:

An unidentified gang set a truck on fire in Kalikhola jungle along the Dhankohola road section of the East-West Mahendra Highway today. The driver and conductor of the gutted truck are missing, the Bhaluwang area police office said.

Carrying wheat flour, the truck was heading to the west from the east.

A police team and a fire engine reached the site to douse the fire. Superintendent of police at the Dang district police office Dipak Kumar Thapa said the fire has been brought under control.

Police have launched a probe into the incident and efforts are on to trace the truck driver and the conductor. Vehicular movement has come to a halt. All vehicles leaving for the east from the west have been stopped at the Bhaluwang bazaar.
