Lamjung, May 15:

The Laxmi primary school at Ishaneshwor-2 in Lamjung has been closed for an indefinite period from yesterday after some girl students of grade V fell unconscious all of a sudden.

Soma Bhujel, Nisha Adhikari, Yogita BK, Radhika BK and Bimaya Gurung fell unconscious on Sunday, the school sources said. The girls trembled with their hands and feet stiffened before falling unconscious.

Though the girls were taken to local Chishanku sub-health post for treatment, the health workers there could not diagnose the disease, a guardian, Gyan Prasad Adhikari, said.
