Godown containing ‘illegal’ fertiliser sealed

Hetauda, February 23:

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has sealed a food godown at Basamadi of Makawanpur on suspicion that it contained illegal fertilizers. The sealing was made in the presence of the officials from the Revenue Investigation Department.

The CIAA officials have estimated that the sealed godown contains fertilizers worth Rs 5.5 million imported and stored illegally.

The godown is owned by the Ridhdisidhdi Khadya Udyog, a local industry, located at Basamadi village development committee-5.

The is registered in the name of Gyanendra Shrestha. Shrestha’s other accomplices are Krishna Agrawal, Ram Babu Shah. Regional Administrator Rabindra Chakravarti said the details were not available till late today.
