DHANGADHI: A local philanthropist, Devakidevi Awasthi of Dhangadhi Municipality-3, Boradandi has supported Rs 4.2 million for the operation of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Seti Zonal Hospital.

Awasthi jointly handed the cheque of the amount to Medical Superintendent Dr Surya Bahadur Gurung and management committee chair Yagyaraj Pandey, amid a programme on Tuesday.

She provided the amount to the hospital to manage the ICU services and dedicated the amount to the memory of her husband.

It is noted that her husband had died in this hospital due to lack of ICU services.
