‘Govt, agitating force must show flexibility’

Biratnagar, June 12

Coordinator of Naya Shakti Party-Nepal Baburam Bhattarai said the government has to find consensus with the agitating Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal to make the second round of local level elections successful.

Speaking to media persons in Biratnagar airport today, former prime minister Bhattarai said that there was no other option for holding election. “Both the government and the agitating RJP-N have to demonstrate flexibility to hold the second phase of local level elections slated for June 28 successfully,” he added.

Bhattarai said the RJP-N has to take part in the local level election as the people are very eager to choose their representatives.

Bhattarai further added that the government has no middle way for addressing some basic demands put forward by the RJP-N to complete the civic polls successfully. “The government has to create the environment and RJP-N has to show flexibility,” he added.

Baburam Bhattarai said that all the political parties’ participation was a must for successful completion of the second round of local level elections. “All parties have to reach understanding for consensus,” he said. Bhattarai added that the demands of the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal have to be addressed as soon as possible.
