Govt has failed to do its bit: Ramchandra Paudel

Bhairahawa, April 21

Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel today said that the responsibility of saving democracy, constitution and the nation had fallen on his party’s shoulders as the government had miserably failed to fulfil its duty.

Speaking at a regional conference organised by Nepali Congress Rupandehi Constituency No 3 at Bhairahawa, Paudel alleged the government had failed due to its own reason. “The Oli-led government has failed the country, democracy and the constitution. Thus, the onus of saving democracy and the constitution has fallen on the NC’s shoulder,” he stated.

Paudel accused the government of meddling with state organs instead of paying attention to good governance and development. “The communist government is bypassing non-communists and running the government in a discriminatory manner,” he charged.

At the programme, NC leader Arjun Narsingh KC stressed the need to institutionalise the party by ending internal factionalism.
