Siraha, December 16:

The Joint Struggle Committee of Employees’ has called for the closure of the government offices and the corporation offices for two days beginning today.

Government offices, including DAO, land revenue office, district court, Nepal Electricity Authority and Nepal Telecom remained closed today due to the strike.

JSCE announced the closure of the offices to protest the YCL’s action against Madan Kumar Jha, officer at the Land Revenue Office, Lahan. YCL cadres had tarred his face, accusing him of taking bribe on December 10.
