Govt okays UNSC work plan

Kathmandu, May 22

The government today decided to endorse the UN Security Council’s national work plan.

It also decided to appoint Joint Secretary (law) Kaushal Chandra Subedi as the executive director of Pancheshwar Development Authority. The Prime Minister’s Secretariat also stated in its release that the government decided to extend the term of temporary police personnel till the second phase of local level elections slated for June 14.

The government also decided to appoint Dr Sitaram Aryal as the Chair of Nepal Veterinary Council.

Dr Sywam Prakash Shrestha and Dr Narayan Prasad Ghimire were appointed as member and Registrar of the council respectively. Similarly the government appointed Raghunath Gautam as the Chair of Board of Directors of Nepal Dairy Development Corporation. Minister of Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki said that the government also decided to recognise volleyball as a national game.
