Govt creating political, financial chaos: Congress leader Paudel

Sindhulimadi, May 8

Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel today accused the government of creating political and financial chaos in the country.

Speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union, Sindhuli, in Sindhulimadi, Paudel charged that the government was full of arrogance.

“Haughtiness on the part of the government has dealt a blow to the constitutional spirit,” he said. He argued that the government was facing many problems as it had failed to respect the opposition’s views and opinions.

Noting that the government’s policies and programmes were passed from the Parliament in an undemocratic manner, Paudel alleged that the communists had tried to push the country into uncertainty.

At the programme, former finance minister and central NC leader Ram Sharan Mahat said the government’s policies and programmes were nothing but a publicity stunt. “The government has just distributed dreams,” he added.

Former minister Mahat urged the government to give up the old mindset and embrace a new approach to develop the country. Mahat accused the government of allocating more budget in unproductive areas.
