Govt forms review panel

Kathmandu, January 3:

The government last Thursday formed a 13-member high-level committee, headed by Minister of State for Labour and Transport Management Urbadatt Pant, to address problems faced by the transport sector.

State minister Pant said that the committee was formed after receiving much complaints from transport enterprenuers, general people and trade unions.

He said his committee would submit a report about the necessary changes to be made in the existing Transport Management Act.

The high-level committee include secretary at the ministry of Labour and Transport Management, deputy- attorney general, additional inspector general of police (in-charge of vehicular traffic management unit) among others.
