Govt land mapping starts in Katari

GAIGHAT, June 30

Authorities in Katari, Udayapur have started mapping government land in the wake of increasing encroachment of state property.

Katari municipality has begun with the mapping of over 10 bigaha government land in Tribenidham of Katari yesterday.

Over 100 bigaha government land has been encroached.

“Most government land here is exposed to encroachment due to apathy of government bodies,” said former VDC chairperson Ram Kumar Rai.”

The municipality has directed people to vacate the encroached land as per the decision reached at a meeting of the town council recently.
