NEPLGUNJ: Important government offices in Banke have fallen short of budget due to the failure to pass the annual budget from the parliament. The office of the comptroller has blocked budget for offices such as District Public Health Office, Bheri Zonal Hospital, Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and District Education Office. The offices are said to have spent one third of the total budget allocated to them this year and no more budget can be released until the appropriation bill is passed. Over 265 DPHO staffers are yet to get their salary even for the previous month.
