RAJBIRAJ: Employees at all 18 local levels on Monday picketed their respective offices in Saptari and halted works in protest of provisions incorporated in the recently endorsed Civil Servants Adjustment Ordinance.

According to Advisor of the employees’ struggle committee Umesh Kumar Yadav, provisions in the ordinance have demoralised government staffers as they do not ensure job security and career development.

Moreover, the protesting employees have announced a slew of programmes aimed at halting works to mount pressure on government to make amendments to the Civil Servants Adjustment Act.
