Govt working for Sudurpaschim’s development, says Minister Baskota

Dadeldhura, January 1

Minister of Information, Technology and Communications Gokul Prasad Baskota said that the government had taken the initiative for the development and prosperity of Sudupsachim Province.

Inaugurating the campaign titled “Let’s visit Amargadi” at Dadeldhura district headquarters Baghkhor today, Minister Baskota made it clear that the federal government could not do anything for the swift development of a particular place without support of the local levels and stakeholders of that place.

Local levels have to take initiative in the first place for development of the province. Then, the central government will provide financial assistance and necessary expertise, Minister Baskota added.

Minister Baskota said that he was impressed by the beauty of the hilly districts of  Sudurpaschim Province. He held that the province could lure many tourists if there was publicity of the historically and culturally important sites of the province.

On a different context, speaking at a press conference organised by Nepal Press Organisation Dadeldhura in Baghkhor, Minister Baskota said that Kalapani and Lipulek fell within Nepal’s territory.

“The dispute seen over Limpiyadhura along the Nepal-India border too would be settled,” he said. He informed that Nepal had got positive response to the letter sent to India over the border dispute between Nepal and India.
