Govt working to strengthen national unity, says PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday said the government was working to strengthen national unity by incorporating views and opinions of various parties and sides.

Addressing his party's mass meeting in Kalpabriksha of Sindhuli district today, the CPN Maoist Chairman said the government was trying to ensure unity of major political forces for the Constitution amendment and completion of three elections at local, provincial and federal levels.

He asserted that the two tasks would be the major responsibilities of the government.

"I believe that," he said, "the national unity can be strengthened by giving respect to all and unifying them."

Meanwhile, Dahal said the government would allocate sufficient budget for the development of roads, bridges, drinking water, irrigation, agriculture, education and health in the district.
