Govt working to bring prosperity: Oli

Pokhara, June 1

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today said his government was working to materialise the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis’.

Inaugurating Nepal Scouts’ First National Rover Moot, organised in Pokhara, Oli stressed the need to expedite development for prosperity in the country. “Good governance and development are the needs of today.

The onus of developing the country has fallen on my shoulders. Do not protest against the government’s good work,” he said.

Oli urged all and sundry to renounce the culture of negativity and back-biting and to move ahead with positive mindset for nation building.

He said Nepal and Nepali leaders had a lot to learn from India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Even Modi has pledged to abide by India’s constitution. But, in Nepal, some people and leaders defy the constitutional provisions,” he added.

Oli urged all to rise above narrow mindset and use the constitutional authority to contribute to national development and prosperity.

Nepal is the country of brave ancestors who painted a worthwhile history, he said.

He asked youths to respect their ancestors’ contribution and move ahead with a new vision and mission for development and prosperity.

“Nepal is a melting pot of culture, literature and natural beauty. This is where intellectuals are born. This is the land of the new generation. This is a nation of peace and harmony, devoid of violence and battles,” Oli thus described the country.
