Guthi Sansthan to distribute alms

Kathmandu, March 5:

The Guthi Sansthan, branch office, Pashupati Goshwara for the first time would bid farewell to Sadhu, Sant and Mahant who are visiting Pashupatinath Temple on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri by offering them alms, this year.

In the pervious years, the king used to see off the sadhus by providing them alms. PM Girija Prasad Koirala gave permission to the Guthi Sansthan to distribute alms on behalf of the state.

PM Koirala today as per the ritual set aside the materials as alms for distribution by adding Rs 3,000 from his side. Pashupati Area Development Trust has estimated that around 5,000 sadhus would visit the Pashupatinath Temple tomorrow.
