Members of a school management committee here thrashed the headmaster of the school yesterday after he refused to hand over the school’s fund to the committee.

They also seized money and cheque book from Sudista Narayan Pandey, acting headmaster of Janta Primary School at Nawabasti of Santapur VDC.

“TheDEO had released Rs 81,640 to the school and I asked the school committee to appoint a teacher by using the fund. The committee members, including its chairman Bipendra Tiwari, instead demanded the money,” Pandey said, adding, “They thrashed me when I denied to give in to their demands.” “They also seized the cheque book, stamps and documents and threatened me of life,” he said.
