Health office established in Dhading of Province 3

With the implementation of federalism, many administrative bodies are also being restructured across the country.
District Health Office in Dhading has been brought under Province 3 and it will now operate as a Health Office, Dhading, in line with the federal system.
The health office, which is under the Ministry of Social Development of Province 3, will coordinate with health centres and health organisations in the district. The office has a quota for 14 staffers, including a health officer.
Acting Chief at the Public Health Office, Dhading, Bishnu Rijal said the health office would coordinate with the federal government, provincial government and local bodies to appoint health workers, supply medicines, along with necessary equipment for health facilities, in the district.
Rijal said the health office would also launch different awareness programmes.
One district hospital, two primary health centres, 49 health posts,18 community health units, 178 clinics, two municipal health centres, 67 birthing centres and 221 vaccination booths are in operation in Dhading.
