Heat affects Dhading
Dhading, May 2:
Soaring temperatures have affected normal life in Dhading for the past two weeks. Locals of the district headquarters, Dhadingbesi, and nearby villages are also facing shortage of drinking water.
The water shortage problem surfaced after water sources dried up due to a prolonged drought.
Crops have also started wilting because of the heat, a farmer of Baireni-9, Bishnu Adhikari, said. The vegetables being cultivated in the district have dried up due to lack of adequate rainfall. Though the district got some rainfall in mid April, it was not adequate for the crops.
