Kin of a mishap victim blocked the Butwal-Gorusinge section of the Mahendra Highway for 18 hours demanding compensation and action against the rash driver. Bijay Thapa of Paroha-1, Rupandehi, was killed recently in a road accident. Locals blocked the highway since 8 pm on Saturday night and the traffic resumed there at 1 pm on Sunday, the Butwal Area Police Office said. Probe into the incident will begin after post-mortem report is out, the APO said.
