Himalayan Snax reopens
Kavre, August 17:
Himalayan Snax and Noodles company of Banepa resumed production on Thursday, 14 days after it was shut.
Production of different brands of instant noodles including Mayos began after the agitating workers and the management agreed to give permanent worker status to 15 more employees of the company. after 14 days of closure enforced by the All Nepal Trade Union Federation.
Earlier, workers in the factory had agitated and closed it for 26 days placing their 8-point charter of demands. The factory had then decided to end the contractual scheme to employ workers and 50 workers were made permanent.
