Hop on to peace train: Yami tells NC
Dhulikhel, November 1:
Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Hisila Yami has accused the Nepali Congress (NC) of trying to learn the role of the opposition by heart.
Talking to journalists in Dhulikhel today, the minister said, “In the past, the NC was used to being part of the government. Nowadays, it is obsessed with the role of the opposition.”
“At a time when the government is working to take the peace process to a logical conclusion, the NC has no option except to cooperate with the ruling coalition,” she said.
“The international community and the government will isolate parties that do not join the peace process,” said Yami. She expressed hope that parties will forge consensus soon to integrate the Maoist Army into the Nepal Army.
