Horse racing contest

POKHARA: Horse racing competition is all set to take place in the tourism capital of the country, Pokhara, from April 23. The racing competition is being organised in a bid to promote and develop sports tourism. The event will run for five days. The information was shared at an interaction organised in Pokhara on Friday. On the occasion, central member of Nepal Horse Riders’ Association Lokjung Lama, also chairman of Western Regional Horse Riders’ Association, said horse trekking trails could be constructed to attract more tourists. Likewise, Western Sports Development Committee Chairman Khag Raj Poudel said that horse riding could be developed as an adventure sports to attract tourists.
