ITAHARI: A hotelier was arrested for allegedly trying to 'sell' a young girl to an Indian national for sex on Sunday.

Ramji Khatri of the Lumbini Hotel in Itahari district was arrested while he was taking the girl to Bhedetar on his motorcycle, informed the Area Police Office, Itahari.

Police said that he had already taken Rs 5,000 each from four Indian nationals for the girl.

It has been learned that Khatri had threatened and allured the girl to take her to India.

He would be booked and punished according to the law.

The girl has been sent to the Upka Nepal for vocational training in order to make her independent.
