BHOJPUR: Property worth around Rs 7.6 million turned into ashes when as many as 11 houses were destroyed in a fire in Rajbas, Baraha of Sunsari district on Sunday.

The fire was sparked from a house of local Bhupesh Chandrabansi which further spread to adjacent houses, according to the Biratnagar Eastern Regional Police Office.

The fire was doused by police personnel with the help of locals.

It took around two hours to control the fire using two fire brigades, informed the Mahendranagar Area Police Office.
