HURON gears up for meet

The Human Rights Organisation of Nepal (HURON) is gearing up to hold its 10th convention in Nepalgunj this month. The meet of the first rights outfit of the country will see participation of prominent human rights defenders along with its members, according to chairman Sudip Pathak. Addressing a press meet organised by HURON here today, he came down heavily on the Maoists for going against their commitments to protect human rights and to abide by international humanitarian laws. “We are against all kinds of violence whether by the state or the Maoists,” he said.
