HURON trying to free CDO, LDO

Kathmandu, April 12:

The Human Rights Organisation of Nepal (HURON) said it is trying to convince the Maoists to free Arghakhanchi Chief District Officer Birendra Nath Sharma and Local Development Officer Sudarshan Prasad Dhakal. Also urging the Maoists to free their near and dear ones were the family members of those abducted by the Maoists at several times from different places. The internally displaced people also demanded an environment conducive for them to return to their homes safely. Sudip Pathak, chairman of HURON said they are trying to convince the Maoists to release Sharma and Dhakal and the last contact they made with the rebels was in March from Butwal.
