HURPES seeks punishment

KATHMANDU: The Human Rights and Peace Society (HURPES) today called the government to take actions against those involved in the Bardiya killing and the police personnel who mistreated a woman in Janakpur.

Issuing a press release, the HURPES called the government to punish those, who were involved in the killing of three Dalit women Chandra Kala BK, Amrit BK and Devisara BK and a child girl in Bardiya.

Stating that the cops have been showing provocative activities at a time when the human rights situation has been worsening, the rights body called the government to bring the culprits into justice.
