IEDs defused in several districts

KATHMANDU: A joint bomb disposal teams of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police today defused improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted in various districts including Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok and Dailekh on the local election day today.

A pressure cooker bomb was defused at Pipalbot Chautara in Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu.

An IED planted in front of CPN-UML poll candidate for mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality was also defused in Gatthaghar this morning.
