Indefinite bandh hits life in Janakpur
Janakpurdham, January 24:
Indefinite bandh jointly organised by the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum, Nepal Sadbhawana Party and Madhes Tarai Loktantrik Party, that began from Thursday, affected life in Dhanusa and Mahottari.
The bandh was organised to protest against arrest of 14 of their cadres in Mahottari on Tuesday for their alleged involvement in attacking Nepali Congress acting president Sushil Koirala.
The demonstrators burnt tyres on the roads at Janakpur. Vehicles, the Janakpur-Jayanagar railway service, markets, factories, educational institutions and offices in the area remained closed. DSP at Dhanusa Rupsagar Neupane said that no serious incidents took place during the bandh.
