India aids schools

KATHMANDU: India has extended financial assistance of Rs 115.86 million for construction of buildings for three educational institutions in Kaski.

These include constructing one building each for Gupteshwor Mahadev Multiple Campus in Pokhara; Shree Saraswati Tika Higher Secondary School in Bharatpokhari; and Arba Bijaya Secondary School in Dhand Bensi.

According to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, three separate MoUs were signed for these projects between the Embassy of India in Kathmandu and the respective institutions on Wednesday.

The cost for Gupteshwor Campus building is estimated at Rs 41.07 million, while the estimated cost for the building of Shree Saraswati Higher Secondary School is about Rs 37.08 million.

Likewise, the building for Arba Bijaya Secondary School will cost Rs 37.12 million.
