India positive on freeing Maoists: Oli

Kathmandu, November 8:

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister KP Oli today said the Indian government is positive about releasing Maoist leaders languishing in Indian jails.

“I have requested the Indian government to release the Maoist leaders. India is positive. The Indian leaders, however, said there are legal problems in setting the them free,” Oli said on his arrival from New Delhi at the TIA.

Oli had to cut short his week-long India visit following political developments here . In India, Oli met Indian PM Dr Man Mohan Singh, Minister for External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee and the leader of the opposition LK Advani.
