KATHMANDU: A minor lost his life after a truck bearing Indian registration number knocked him down at Balati Chok in Babai of Bardiya district on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as 10-year-old Pujan BK, a local resident.

BK was critically injured in the incident and taken to the Nepalganj Medical College in Banke, where he died during the course of treatment, police said.

The Bagnaha-based Area Police Office in Bardiya has impounded the truck and taken the driver for further investigation, said police.
