Indian envoy opens two schools

Kathmandu, August 4:

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Shiv Shankar Mukharjee, inaugurated the Shri Panch Mahendra Janata Madhyamik Vidhyalaya in Karmaiya and the Shri Saraswati Madhyamik Vidhyalaya, Hajariya, in Sarlahi district during a function today, according to a press statement issued by the embassy. The two schools were built with Indian assistance of NR 54,12,320 and NRs 46,01,275 respectively. It took two years for the two projects to be completed. The statement said through these two projects more than 2000 school children will benefit. The schools will stand as testament in years to come over the deepening ties of India-Nepal Economic Cooperation. The statement further said India’s commitment to deepen and diversify cooperation extends not only to the education sector but also to other key areas of health and infrastructure.
