Indian national found dead in Pokhara; murder suspected

POKHARA: Police said an Indian national was found dead at a canal near the Titepani suspension bridge in Pokhara on Wednesday.

Police identified the deceased as 36-year-old Sagar Ansari of Bihar in India, currently residing at Pokhara-17.

It has been learned that Ansari was living in Pokhara for past 23 years. He worked as a construction contractor in the area, informed police.

Meanwhile, the Kaski District Police Office spokesperson and DSP Khadag Bahadur Khatri said the deceased's brother-in-law has filed an FIR claiming he was attacked by someone from the back.

The body had a deep cut on back of the head.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that he might have been murdered.
