Indian youth held with 3 kg hashish, Sindhuli teenager with Nitravet

KATHMANDU: A team of Nepal Police arrested a suspected Indian drug smuggler and seized 3 kg hashish from his possession from Hetaunda of Makawanpur district.

According to the Mid Regional Police, 22-year-old Sunu Kumar Shahi, who reportedly hails from Deoria district of Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, was heading to Birgunj boarding a bus from Hetaunda when he was held.

During a regular security check at Ratomate Check Post in Hetaunda-17, police had found the contraband, which was apparently being smuggled to India.

Meanwhile, police arrested a teenager, who was travelling on a bus Kakadbhitta to Kathmandu, in possession of a cache of

pharmaceutical drug Nitravet.

The suspect, 19-year-old Dipesh Thapa, is said to be resident of Panityanki, Sindhuli.
