DHULIKHEL; As many as 8,883 students, including regular and exempted, are taking the SLC examination from Kavre district this year. The country-wide examination began today.

According to the District Education Office, 60 students of open school are also appearing in the SLC examination. Students of a private school, 104 community schools, 56 institutional schools and an open school are taking the SLC examination.

Five inmates of Dhulikhel jail are also appearing for the SLC test.

The inmates include Sanjaya Shrestha, Subash Shrestha, Rit Bahadur Sapkota, Prakash Tamang and Bikash Yonjan.

Archana Rajbhandari, 54, is the eldest student, who is sitting for the SLC exam from the district this year.
