IGP Aryal seeks people’s support to control crime

Khotang, April 7

Inspector General of Police Prakash Aryal today said police personnel had a great role in curbing crime in society.

Inaugurating a newly constructed building of District Police Office, Khotang, IGP Aryal directed police personnel to maintain law and order.

“The way police work has changed over the years. We have now emerged as an organisation that people remember during unfavourable situations and crisis. We must develop our organisation that people can trust in during difficult times,” said IGP Aryal.

He said police could work efficiently only with people’s support. He also warned that strong action would be taken against police personnel involved in illegal activities. “However, those cops are deliberately involved in illegal or criminal activities won’t be spared,” he added.

The 22-room building of the DPO was built at the cost of Rs 32 million.
