Institute of Health Science to be set up in Saptari

SAPTARI: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health, Upendra Yadav has informed the government took the decision to establish an Institute of Health Science here to develop Saptari as a health hub like Dharan and Kathmandu.

The Cabinet endorsed the draft of the Act that end and works are progressing DPM Yadav said while inaugurating a weeklong grand health camp organised by the Ministry of Health and Population and Nepal Army on Wednesday.

DPM Yadav inaugurated the camp amidst a function at Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Hospital.

Also speaking on the occasion, Province-2 Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut pledged to make special investments in the areas of education, health, poverty and unemployment.

The camp will last till February 19, but could extend based on the flow of patients, said Dr Chumanlal Das, Chief Medical Superintendent.

A team of 126 specialist doctors are providing services to the patients in the camp.
