Interim govt soon: PM
Kathmandu, February 18:
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today said he would induct the CPN-Maoist in an interim government once the process of disarmament reaches a stage from where the UN would do everything that is needed to be done.
Koirala was talking to members of the visiting German parliamentary delegation led by Josef Winkler who called on the PM at his official residence today. The Prime Minister is also said to have stressed the importance of foreign invovlement in the elections to a constituent assembly to give credibility to the exercise.
“The Prime Minister tld the delegation that he was keen to take the Maoists in the government once the peace process reaches a definite phase,” Dr Suresh Chalise, the foreign policy advisor to Koirala, said.
